Hine Anesthesia was founded in Los Altos by Ken Hine, MD. We pride ourselves in providing hospital-grade anesthesia care, bringing the highest standards of safety to the dental and oral surgery clinic.
Today, Hine Anesthesia is dedicated to providing anesthetic care to dental and oral surgery patients across the Greater San Francisco Bay Area. Our services extend throughout Sonoma, Napa, Solano, Sacramento, Marin, Contra Costa, Alameda, San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Santa Cruz, Monterey, and San Benito counties.
ABOUT KEN HINE, MD
Dr. Ken Hine was born in Philadelphia and raised in Palo Alto, California. His academic and clinical journey has taken him across diverse communities in the United States and abroad, including San Diego, Kurikoma, Grinnell, Philadelphia, Flushing, and Loma Linda—experiences that have shaped a broad and adaptable approach to patient care.
Dr. Hine earned his medical degree from Drexel University College of Medicine. He completed three years of general surgery residency training—one year at NewYork-Presbyterian Queens and two years at Loma Linda University Medical Center—followed by a three-year anesthesiology residency at Loma Linda University Medical Center.
He has since returned to the San Francisco Bay Area, which he is proud to once again call home. Dr. Hine practices full-time as a board-certified anesthesiologist at Hine Anesthesia and also maintains a part-time role at Dominican Hospital in Santa Cruz.
He is known for his strong work ethic and unwavering commitment to delivering the highest standard of anesthetic care. Dr. Hine approaches each case with meticulous attention to detail, clinical precision, and a deep respect for the trust patients place in him.
Outside of medicine, he enjoys staying active, playing and listening to music, skiing, and golfing.
